ABOUT
HISTORY OF THE AFRICAN STUDENTS ASSOCIATION
Out
of the desire to unite all the Nigerian students studying Abroad, in the four
corners of the Near East university, a group of students unitedly decided to
make a platform for the Nigerian Students to come meet and share ideas, both
academically, morally, politically and socially.Nigerian
Students Association (NEU Chapter) was founded in the year 2009, it was
governed by the following officials, with were carefully selected without any
elections.-
President: Adeyemi
It
was a successful administration as the Nigerian students where noticed within
the university despite the few numbers. The administrations tenure came to an
end as new executives were elected to office at 2010.

new NSS executives to continue the trend in administration. As
at 2012 a large crowd of members came out to express their desires and interest
to run for various offices in the association, we've not experience a large turnout
of contestants soliciting for support to run the association even till date
that shows the interest of members to govern the association. After
a well conducted election, the newly executives were sworn into office, they

They wanted a forum to unite all the other countries in African within the
school as they were minorities and outnumbered by the Nigerian Students
community. This singular act created the Change. From
Nigerian Students Association (NSA), it became African Students
Association (ASA). A well-coordinated event was made to inaugurate and
rebrand the Association. That was massive achievement during this
administration as other countries joined the union. The

commission this great change.As
time goes on the administrations tenure also came to an end and the

information about the Association to the world at large and to boost efficient
communication with the school and its environs. This administration also saw to
the establishment of extra-curricular groups within the association, to help
create fun activities within the school and outside. The
